What to Bring to Your First Visit to Our Wound Care Clinic

Last updated 2 years ago

The wound care clinic at Fawcett Memorial Hospital provides advanced treatment for slow healing wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, burns, and more. To help you get the most out of your first visit to our wound care clinic, we ask that you bring a list of your medications or that you bring all of the bottles of medications that you currently take.

During your first visit, the doctor will conduct an in-depth evaluation of your medical history and wound history. It can be helpful to bring a list of any medical conditions you’ve previously been diagnosed with. Be sure to let us know if you’ve undergone any surgeries or if you have any allergies, such as a latex allergy. Additionally, you may wish to write down a few notes about your wound, such as when it first appeared, what symptoms you’ve noticed, and whether you’ve previously undergone treatment for it.

If you have any questions about your upcoming visit to the wound care clinic at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, call our Consult-A-Nurse referral line at (888) 685-1599. Our hospital in Port Charlotte is pleased to provide exceptional emergency care, senior care, and cardiac care.
